Drew's Story

One of the biggest dreams of parents is to provide their children with the best possible education. I remember six years ago, my husband and I were scouting for a perfect school for our first born, Angelo. We wanted a school that could develop his intelligence, talents, and social skills. Our relatives recommended MGP. We took a shot and never did we regret it. Angelo is a naturally happy child. He likes to explore and socialize with his classmates. He loves to learn new things and is also very much interested in history and science. We also discovered his good speaking skills during important school events. Every year, we are amazed that he would be called up to the stage to receive some awards. We can see that he enjoys learning with his classmates and teachers.
Come 2019, it’s our daughter’s turn to start schooling. Drew surprised us with her intelligence, creativity, and speaking and dancing skills. She also enjoyed reciting her poem for the first time on stage during Festival of Words. She has a lot of ideas and stories to tell. She is also focused on what she does and she likes to finish her activities on time. However, face to face classes were cut short and 2020 surprised us all with the Taal Volcano eruption and the COVID-19 pandemic. Who would have thought that we would experience this kind of set-up—that virtual learning would become the norm for the safety of our kids? It was really challenging for all of us. We know how hard the teachers work just to guide and educate their students. We are also grateful that we, parents, become our kids’ learning partners as we are able to discover their strengths, skills, and talents. We are proud to say that our kids are resilient and easily adaptable, and that they have become communicators, inquirers, thinkers, balanced, principled, open-minded, caring, knowledgeable, and risk-takers through the years.

Thank you, MGP! It is truly an amazing journey!
