Mother Goose Playskool is a group of schools that began from the dream of Dr. Luis F. Samson Sr. to revolutionize early-childhood education in the province of Pangasinsan. Here at Mother Goose, we encourage each child to grow to their fullest potential with the use of a Montessori, Piagetian, Open Classroom approach.
The Mother Goose Philosophies
Montessori
The Montessori method was brought to the world by the Italian physician, scientist and educator, Dr. Maria Montessori, in the early 1900s. This approach on education comes from her clinical and medical observations of children which led to her belief that children are natural explorers as an individual learns by doing things themselves with their own desire to learn. Contrary to popular opinion she believed that a silent environment enhances a child’s ability to carefully observe and absorb knowledge. A Montessori classroom enables each child to experience learning on their own and build their own character with a stimulating environment and carefully designed materials.
Piagetian
Jean Piaget, a Swiss psychologist, was known for his work on child development. He believed that each child is active in the learning process, observing and interacting with the world. And as these children explore the world, they gain new knowledge, build upon existing knowledge, and adapt previously held ideas to be able to obtain new information. His work is one of the building blocks of the Mother Goose schools as it further enhances the learning environment that is precisely designed to enable children to acquire knowledge.
Open Classroom
An Open Classroom is also known as the classroom without walls. These classrooms are designed to encourage the mindfulness of a child, to be able to observe other children and follow a set of ground rules. This approach caters to the foundation of people skills and etiquette within a child.

MG will be an ecosystem where the academics, arts, humanities, and movement are of equal importance, leading to inspired and creative children.
